Product Description

The LDD-041 is a large powder-coated letterbox that can accommodate A4 mail without bending. Security is important to us and this lockable letterbox comes with 2 keys and a 2-year warranty.

This metal post box is made in Europe from galvanised steel and has a thermally applied powder coating to protect it from rust and UV ray damage. The external faceplate and rear retrieval door are a dark grey finish making this a smart looking wall letter box as well as very practical. The unique adjustable telescopic chute makes the LDD-041 perfect for use on an external wall or pillar of various sizes. Please note that is it not suitable for a single brick wall.

The LDD-041 is also available in Black and Stainless Steel.

    I have rated it 4 stars. Its a bit pricey for what is and it hasn't got a draught seal around the back box locking door. Would have been 5 stars if it had. Also I didn't see an obvious option for a door handle rather than a lock which I would prefer as I have no need for a lockable door. Seems a good product though at point of purchase. Would recommend.

    We brought the letterbox because it did what we wanted and more importantly was the correct colour.
    However the fixing method into a wall is useless, it depends on the wall around it being accurate as it is held in place by "sandwiching". It should have some sort of brackets to directly fix it to the internal brickwork. I will add brackets to give a proper fixing.
    Unfortunately all of the items on the market seem to be the same so these comments would apply to any and all.

    Well presented item, but it did let in a little bit of water when the builder who installed it hosed it down to remove brick dust after putting it in the wall but prior to fixing it with expanding foam. I'm hoping that the foam will prevent any ingress of water in future.

    Not easy to build the through wall letterbox in as the cavity wall was built up. The silver tape will have to go on the inside.
    Now it is fitted it does look great inside and out!
    Main problem now is that the outside flap has gaps at either side. I can see daylight from the inside and there are some draughts.
    The flap blows open in high winds and clangs shut which is annoying.
    I would be grateful if there are any suggestions to stop this happening.
