I’m looking for a good quality letterbox, where are your letterboxes made?
Our high-quality letterboxes are manufactured in Europe only. We work very closely with our manufacturers to ensure you get products to a standard we are proud to deliver. We are the sole UK suppliers of many of our letterboxes and we work hard to continuously listen and develop our stock to bring you the products you want.
How soon can I receive my letterbox / what’s the lead time on large trade orders?
Most letterboxes that we have in stock will be shipped with next working day delivery if you order before 12pm. Please note that this does mean that if you order after 12pm on a Friday then you will receive your box the following Tuesday, unless you would like to choose the express shipping option. If you order custom numbers, name plates, or cut keys, then there would be approximately a week added to your lead time. For larger or trade orders placed with our manufacturers, the lead time can vary from 4-9 weeks, depending on the letterbox.
Does my box come with a fixing kit?
Our wall mounted boxes come with 4 rawl plugs and screws, though we cannot guarantee that the generic kit we provide will suit all wall types so you should check before installing your letterbox. Gate mounted letterboxes and trims will come with the screws required to fit and our telescopic, through the wall letterboxes come with either screws or special tape to hold the letter chute at the required depth while you complete the fit.

I live outside of the UK; can I still order a letterbox4you letterbox?
Yes, of course! We ship to several countries; we are also more than happy to facilitate a collection by your chosen courier if you’re looking to order from outside the EU. Our lovely letterboxes have previously flown off to new homes in Australia, Madagascar, Malta, Cyprus, Texas, and many more!
I received my letterbox, but it has no keys / I think I’ve lost them?!
The keys should be attached in a plastic bag to the inside of the letter flap on your letterbox. If you can’t find them, then give your letterbox a shake or tip forward for larger items as they occasionally come loose and may get stuck inside the box. If you can hear them rattling around then guide them to your letter flap where you can access them.
If you have lost your keys, first open the flap of your letterbox and see if there is a sticker on the inside of your box with the picture of a key and a code. If you find your code (or if you’re brilliantly clever and made a note of the key number when you received your letterbox), simply follow this link and purchase another pair of keys: www.replacementkeys.co.uk/l4u
If there is no code then you will probably need a new lock, in most cases this is simple to fit but may require you to drill out the existing lock. My letterbox has arrived damaged.
We want you to love your new letterbox so please get in touch straight away. We need to know within 24hours of delivery that there is a problem with your item. Take and send as many photos of the damage, the cardboard box your item came in, and the label on that box to [email protected]. Try to include your invoice number in the email and we will sort everything out for you.
How do I know if the item will fit?
If you click on the drop-down menu choice of 'dimensions' on the product page you will find everything you need to know. Some of our products also have a detailed diagram if you scroll through the images on the page. It is important to check that you have the space for your letterboxes, it will save time in the long run! If the item is one that will require a tradesperson to fit, it may be wise to show them the item’s description and ask their advice.
Can you customise my letterbox?
First please remember that if you can’t find the perfect letterbox to get in touch at [email protected] to see if we can help! We have a number of letterboxes that are fairly simple to customise which are the ‘Kingsbury’, the ‘Chelsea’, the ‘Stamford’, and the ‘Bloomsbury’. For larger quantity orders (mainly 20+) that are made to order by one of our manufacturers there is the possibility to change the size or colour of your boxes.
I received my letterbox and it isn’t what I was looking for… how do I return it?
Not a problem, you have 30 days to return! If you can package it up into the box and packing that it came with and send it back to us, so long as it’s unused and in its original resalable condition we should be able to offer a full refund. Please follow the link for more help:

The letterbox I am looking at on your website says out of stock.
It is always frustrating when you find the perfect letterbox and then it is out of stock. We do try to make our stock levels as accurate as possible, unfortunately when they’re gone, they’re gone! We place regular orders with our manufacturers as far in advance as possible though unfortunately, occasionally there are delays beyond our control. We appreciate your patience when waiting for a product, and we are more than happy to make a note of your contact details and let you know when we get your desired product back in stock; please just drop us an email at [email protected] with an email address, phone number, and the product you would like (don’t forget the colour!).
Do you offer an installation service?
Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer this service, though most of our boxes are fairly simple to install provided you have the correct kit and some experience. If you are looking for a larger set of letterboxes, we can assemble the bank together for you to make your installation on site quicker and easier.
I need a replacement letterbox / door / flap / key, can I get that from you?
If you bought your current letterbox from us then yes, of course! We hold some stock of replacement parts and can source others for you. If you need some help identifying the box you’re looking to replace then feel free to send a photo to [email protected] and we will be happy to help. If you did not get your old boxes from us, then it is unlikely that we will have the parts that fits the exact measurements of your product. Believe it or not there are hundreds of different manufacturers, styles, sizes, and types of letterbox, the likelihood of our products matching another company is small. It is often much easier and cost efficient to replace the whole unit. For special numbers or replacement plastic card holders / viewing windows please do get in touch.
Can you provide numbers plates for the card holders of my apartment letterboxes?
We can! We have stock numbers ranging from 1-100 to fit our Urban Easy range, though we also supply special order numbers. This means that if you would like your number plate to say, ‘Flat 1’, or ‘1a/1b’, or anything else in the world then we can get it custom engraved for you. If you have letterboxes from one of our other ranges, we can order these to be made for you too.
How do I put the number plates into the plastic windows?
Simply open the door of your letterbox and slide the number in from the top of the plastic window. This can be a bit fiddly but if you put one side in and then the second, they slide into place. Please don’t try to squeeze the number plate in from the front of your letterbox door as this may cause damage to either the display window or the letterbox finish.
