Communal letterboxes are typically located in the entrance foyer of a building. This can leave mail vulnerable to theft, yet we know that replacing multiple post boxes is expensive.

So, we set our minds to designing a universal baffle that can upgrade an existing letterbox into anti theft letterbox. Our retrofit solution is a cost-effective means of restricting access to anyone except the person with the key.

Is our anti theft baffle suitable for your apartment letterboxes?

Our baffle is simple to fit on letterboxes with a min 10mm folded edge on the inside of the opening. The thickness of the metal must also be 1mm to ensure a good fit.

If your letterboxes have no fold, a fold of less than 10mm or a thickness exceeding 1mm, this solution isn’t suitable.

How to fit your anti theft baffle

The baffle can be pushed onto the folded metal edge so the profile graduates up or down. For most designs of apartment letterboxes, an upward direction offers the best restriction, without impeding mail delivery, however, please try both ways and decide which works best.

Once you are happy with the direction, apply a quick-drying adhesive to the folded edge. Ensure the adhesive that is suitable for use on powder-coated metal. Then slide the baffle on and into position.

Repeat this process for all of your communal post boxes to enhance security.

Once dried, the baffles will hold securely in place, restricting unwanted access to the post boxes.

How long until I receive my order?

We have 3 delivery options available at the checkout, 2-3 day, next day and next day priority to arrive before 12pm. Please note, orders need to be received before 12pm on a working day for us to dispatch the order on the same day. Orders received after 12pm on a Friday, over the weekend, or on a bank holiday, will not be dispatched until the following working day.
